aka Chris Junkie, Fresh, DJ Fresh
Chris would like to warn the public that clubbing without drugs will leave you looking like this.
When not abusing caffeine and alcohol, he likes the funkier end of the spectrum while admitting to being a bit of a bass nut. Breaks, anything 4/4 and even a bit of Drum'n'Bass are his weapons of choice, though if pressed he will admit to having a flair for the exceptionally cheesy.

Chris first got involved in clubbing while designing flyers for a number of illegal parties while still at School.

In 1996, he got involved in the promotion side of Reading's "Xpression" parties. These offered a unique split of indie/alternative and dance music spread over the two floors of the venues used.

Later that year, he wandered off to Southampton to do his degree in computer science. He still tries to deny that he's a geek.

While there, he found he had time on his hands and so squandered all his available money on a set of decks, a mixer, and as many records as he could lay his hands on.

He got heavily involved in the organisation of university events which culminated in the setting up of Southampton University's most successful student night in 1998.

Poundstretcher regularly attracted over 1,000 people a week during the three years that it ran and gave Chris the opportunity to play all the styles of music he loved. That meant dark drum'n'bass, hard assed trance and house and even nasty nu metal got mixed in with the regulation cheese fest.

In 2001, Chris bought a house, settled down into a day job and built a studio. Since then, he's been trying to figure out exactly how a studio works while playing occasionally at Po Na Na in Reading.
